Are you a friendly, organised, and proactive administrator with strong customer service skills? St Basil’s Homes is seeking a Casual Administration Assistant to deliver efficient and professional administrative support while providing excellent service across our Northern facilities. The role includes leave coverage, public holiday shifts, and adhoc assistance, with potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

What you’ll do :
As the first point of contact, this role is essential in creating a professional and welcoming environment. The Administration Assistant plays a key role in setting the standard for the quality of service at St Basil’s. This position focuses on delivering exceptional service to residents, visitors, families, and staff with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism. We are looking for a candidate with strong administrative skills who can also support our corporate administration team as needed, including marketing, communications, rostering, and a variety of other administrative duties.
Main duties / responsibilities :
Provide professional reception services, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-of-house experience for residents, visitors, families, and staff.Greet and direct visitors, offering clear guidance upon arrival.Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly and courteously addressing phone, email, and in-person inquiries, screening and redirecting as appropriate.Maintain a calm, professional, and inviting presentation of the main reception area at all times.Provide comprehensive administrative support across departments, including marketing, communications, and rostering, to ensure seamless office operations.Assist with managing daily roster changes and unplanned leave, to ensure effective and responsive roster management.What you will bring to the role :
A compassionate and empathetic approach to residents and their familiesAn appreciation and understanding of cultural diversity3 to 5 years of administration experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office programs and the ability to learn various other systems (e.g., quality management systems, databases, and rostering systems).Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Exceptional customer service focus with a professional and courteous approach.Why Join St Basil’s?
