About the role :
The Assistant in Nursing will provide support to the nursing team in the delivery of nursing care in an acute / sub-acute care environment as directed by the Registered Nurse. Some responsibilities include :
Direct care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and assist with patient care interventions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.Contribute to collecting accurate health care information, maintaining accurate health care documentation and communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members in accordance with organisational protocol.Retain responsibility for their own actions and remain accountable to the Registered Nurse for all allocated duties as assigned and practice in accordance with NSW Health guidelines and local policy and protocol.About you :
Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care KogarahHLT32507 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor : Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or in second year of a tertiary nursing degreePrevious experience in acute / sub-acute hospitals or aged care / communityDemonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary teamDemonstrated commitment to ongoing professional developmentDemonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record systemDemonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skillsWhat you bring
