Job descriptionDirect care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and assist with patient care interventions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Contribute to collecting accurate health care information, maintaining accurate health care documentation and communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members in accordance with organisational protocol. Retain responsibility for their own actions and remain accountable to the Registered Nurse for all allocated duties as assigned and practice in accordance with NSW Health guidelines and local policy and protocol. Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah HLT32507 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor : Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or in second year of a tertiary nursing degree Previous experience in acute / sub-acute hospitals or aged care / community Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills NFP salary packaging benefits, discounted health insurance and gym memberships Paid parental leave Training, development pathways and career opportunities As part of the application process, you will be required to complete pre-employment checks which may include, but is not limited to reference checks, work rights, criminal history check, NDIS / WWCC / WWVP checks, and a health evaluation to ensure suitability for the role You will be required to provide evidence of immunisation as required for your role including influenza, tuberculosis screening, hepatitis, diphtheria, tetanus, varicella.
