Senior Mental Health Clinician | Enhanced Care (HOPS)

Based at the Clarendon Clinic, East Melbourne. This is a part-time, permanent role (0.5 EFT) in the Allied Health group at St. Vincent’s Health Australia.

Job Description

Join the Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service and provide a high standard of clinical assessment, treatment and secondary consultation to clients and staff of the St. Vincent’s integrated adult Mental Health Service and their carers. This role is community-based, serving clients who may be homeless or at risk of homelessness with serious mental illness and related disability. Work within a recovery-oriented model of care using the Strengths Model of Case Management.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Strengths Model of recovery-oriented practice.
• Provide discipline-specific interventions to consumers who are currently registered with the Clarendon Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service.
• Assist with and undertake the assessment, provision of treatment and delivery of targeted interventions to consumers with complex mental health needs and their family / carers in line with SVMH policies and strategic direction.

The Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service provides ongoing specialist treatment and support to meet the needs of clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, using a recovery-focused Strengths Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice.
