Job Purpose
This role is responsible for supporting technology services in the Australia office, especially the trading room, to meet target standards for core processes, across all locations, to achieve quality and control in governance and process standardization. Working closely with the country Head of Technology & Information Security, country COO, HQ technology heads, and traders, you will be jointly responsible for overall technology governance.
You will be part of the Group Technology Services team that supports the Bank's core infrastructure across the globe and owns the key IT service management processes.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure smooth operations of the Branch’s and trading room’s systems, network and IT process. Deliver quality IT service to all Branch units.
- Support operations of IT control environment for the Branch and HQ’s IT governance framework.
- Manage onboarding due diligence and ongoing monitoring of service levels and governance of technology service providers.
- Execution of technology initiatives with Group counterparts, ensuring that the projects are delivered to meet the required technical standards and business objectives, as well as operational success criteria.
- Minimize disruption to the Branch’s day-to-day end user services, especially trader’s IT services.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provide technical support in the use of computer hardware, software, and specialized technology, which includes setting up, configuring, testing, deploying and maintaining of IT components (desktop / laptop computers, peripherals, etc.) and technical environment (account assigning security level).Install trading software and other software, and set up hardware such as servers, switches. Install, repair, and remove wire and cable lines.Collaborate with users and traders, and other technical resources in HQ as appropriate to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical problems ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime and disruptions. Work with hardware vendors to resolve equipment failures / problems.Perform routine security checks and system / server checks.Act as a liaison for the computing operation, communicating, resolving, and / or initiate the resolution of problems and concerns. Assist with complex technical projects.Ensure security of physical premises and technology systems in accordance with Bank's security directives, through administrative, preventive, detective, and reactive controls, such as access reviews, change and configuration management, anti-virus and patch updates.Maintain accurate and updated documentation of IT asset inventory, network and infrastructure setup diagrams, SOPs, troubleshooting guides and issue resolutions.Oversee vendors’ technology services, including maintenance of contracts, service level monitoring, and coordination of due diligence activities.Understand the operating environment in the countries, with the objective of standardizing and streamlining key processes, as well as operating and costs optimization opportunities.Collaborate with peers to develop their risk management mindset and uplift technical skillset to foster a team-oriented and risk-aware work environment.Maintain key relationships with technology organisations at HQ, countries and vendors collaboratively to develop solutions to address risk management and operational issues.Contribute to unit goals by accomplishing related duties as required.Education / Preferred Qualifications
Degree in computer science, information technology or related field.Data processing training, computer operations training, or experience in a multi-operation system or production control environment preferred.Experience
Three to five years of related experience providing customer service in a technological environment, preferably in financial markets, supporting trading room or similarly regulated field. IT experience in supporting traders is preferred.Some experience in technology risk management framework and processes.Familiarity with implementation and / or maintenance of network and technology infrastructure, and trading software.Skills and Capabilities Required
Sound / Advanced : Knowledge of a variety of hardware, software, and operation systems such as MS Windows systems and MS Office suite, information systems architectures across a variety of implementations manufacturers, end-user device fleet, communications technologies (Webex, softphone, turret phone, etc). Familiarity with various trading systems / platforms is preferred.Awareness / Sound : Basic knowledge of network protocols and some experience with computer applications and operating systems such as routing / switching, high density computing, virtualization, SAN, SDN, QoS, WAN; wireless technologies.Awareness : Technology risk management and controls; enterprise systems management, security systems; data centre.CONTRACT ROLES] We offer a range of benefits including :
