As HCF’s Cloud Infrastructure Manager, you will spearhead cloud advancements, ensuring infrastructure excellence and strategic compliance, while fostering a DevOps culture and promoting automation. Your leadership will be pivotal in merging business and technical visions, propelling us to the forefront of cloud innovation
Key Tasks:
- Lead and inspire a team of highly skilled and experienced cloud specialists, responsible for AWS and Azure infrastructure services
- Cultivate a DevOps culture and practice within the team, ensuring a deep understanding of the tools, processes, and mindset is achieved over time
- Ensure the teams deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of high quality
- Manage relationships with the business to understand their needs and problems, ensuring solutions and services are meeting their requirements
- Communicate effectively the impact of technical changes to internal IT and business stakeholders
- Ensure appropriate policies, processes and guidelines are documented and regularly updated
- Partner with business-led development teams to understand application lifecycle challenges and design cloud platform solutions to automate and streamline their processes
- Provide afterhours assistance where required to ensure 24x7 availability of service
- Have a deep understanding of IaaS and PaaS services offered on the various cloud platforms and understand how to use them together to build complex and elegant solutions
- Establish and maintain enterprise landing zones that are scalable, reliable, and secure
- Ensure cloud infrastructure meets HCF security and compliance requirements, such as encryption, backup, disaster recovery, and auditing
- Provide expert input and guidance in the planning and design phase of projects to ensure deliverables are consistent with HCF’s technology infrastructure strategy and guidelines
Essentials:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure with AWS and/or Azure, with at least 5-years’ experience
- Proven experience of leading cloud infrastructure and/or systems engineering teams
- Proven experience in managing cloud automation and Dev Ops practices
- Proven experience leading the design and review processes for new and migrating systems
- Excellent communication & written skills with ability to explain technical concepts to other business units
- Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions
- Solid experience in building and scaling environments across multi-cloud and multi-regions
- Demonstrable business continuity or disaster recovery planning experience
- Experience in mentoring and coaching team members and other key stakeholders on cloud transformation and best practice
Desirable
- Experience in a regulated industry, such as APRA
- Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible, Terraform or Azure Dev Ops
