We are seeking an experienced volunteer involvement professional to take on the role of Volunteer Resources Advisor (VRA) SA / NT. This outstanding full time, permanent opportunity will ideally be based in Adelaide, SA with hybrid working arrangements.
Join a dynamic national Volunteer Resources team supporting safe and effective volunteer involvement throughout The Salvation Army (TSA) :
Partner with stakeholders across a wide variety of services and activities (including community programs, aged care, emergency relief operations and church-based activities)Use your great interpersonal skills to build and develop your network of capable, confident managersEnjoy a flexible and supportive work environment with opportunity for autonomy and collaboration - the best of both worlds!Work with HR business partners, WHS advisors, Safeguarding and other support functions to deliver complete, integrated assistance to our managersKey Responsibilities :
Guide and coach managers all aspects of the volunteer involvement lifecycle, risk mitigation, compliance and resolution of volunteer-related issuesFacilitate individual and group training via face to face and online delivery modesSupport managers in designing volunteer opportunities for individuals and groupsCoordinate regionally-based recruitment campaigns to support new roles / activities / initiativesCapture stories & images that can be used to promote TSA volunteering to internal and external audiencesReview reports on system usage and currency / accuracy of volunteer dataCollate feedback from frontline, provide suggested improvements for resources and trainingAbout you :
Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of TSASubject matter knowledge and proven track record in volunteer coordination / managementExperience in coaching, facilitation and training in a group or one-to-one settingDemonstrated relationship / stakeholder managementRegular regional & rural travel, willingness to travel interstate on an occasional basisEvent management experience (desirable)Why work for us :
