Join a major Melbourne health service provider supporting 12,000+ employees. We are seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to lead a team of Payroll Officers in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services in a high-volume and award‑complex environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Senior Payroll Officer who may be new to team management but with exposure to coaching / mentoring / 2IC work – or someone who has worked as a Team Lead or Manager but on a smaller scale.

You’ll play a key role in developing the team, supporting an upcoming system transition (rostering system), and driving continuous improvement across processes and service delivery. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced operational setting and enjoys guiding others through change.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support a team of ~10 Payroll Officers.
• Oversee accurate weekly payroll processing for 12,000 employees.
• Interpret EBAs and awards in a complex health sector environment.
• Support upcoming system changes, testing, and training.
• Build strong relationships with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders.
