About The Opportunity
IFYS Accommodation Services has an opportunity for a Therapeutic Case Worker to join the team working across our Caboolture and Maroochydore Youth Crisis Accommodation programs, and Nambour based ‘The Old Church' Youth Accommodation program. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong client-centred practice framework, have sound knowledge of local services and resources, and experience conducting intake assessments and delivering case management.

Responsibilities Of The Role
Engage with young people and ensure a safe and therapeutic environmentConduct intake and initial assessments with young people requesting accommodation and support in alignment with guidelinesCreate individualised support plans with young people to meet their needs and goalsAssist young people to develop new living skills and participate in the community of their choiceEnsure the maintenance and cleanliness of all aspects of the shelter to a high standardCompleting a range of administrative tasks in a timely mannerRequirements For The Role
Experience working with people exhibiting challenging behaviours and complex needs or an understanding of the impacts of trauma on a young person's lifeA go-getter attitude with the ability to adapt to changing situations and remain calm in the face of a crisisExcellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly, especially with young peopleFlexibility with hours of work and available nights and weekends over a rotating rosterQualifications in or currently studying Youth work, Mental Health, Community Services, Human Services or Social Work highly desirableMust hold or be willing to obtain
Valid Queensland driver's license with no restrictionsQLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)Licensed Care Suitability Check (LCS2)National Crime Check (A new check will be completed through IFYS systems)Ability to provide two recent line manager references including your current employerApplication information
