Salary range : $ 70,000 - $80,000 + superannuation
About the Role :
As Retail Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe, and well-organized environment that delivers exceptional experiences for every customer.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the café to ensure efficiency, profitability, and excellent customer service.
- Manage inventory levels, coordinate stock control and deliveries, and ensure timely replenishment to meet business needs.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies, pricing policies, and promotional activities to drive sales and meet business objectives.
- Plan and execute marketing initiatives, in-store displays, and campaigns to enhance customer engagement and revenue.
- Maintain financial records, oversee cash handling, daily banking, and contribute to budget management and financial reporting.
- Recruit, train, roster, supervise, and support staff to maximise team performance and ensure compliance with workplace policies.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and adherence to brand and safety requirements.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety legislation, food safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Analyse sales reports, track performance metrics, and provide regular updates to the business owner.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure reliable stock and operational support.
- Identify, report, and resolve maintenance, safety, or operational issues to ensure a secure and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
About You :
Diploma in Business, Retail Management, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience (2–3 years minimum) in a retail, café, or hospitality management or supervisory role.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff, customers, and suppliers.Highly organized with strong time-management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Sound knowledge of stock control, inventory management, and cost-control practices.Confident in the use of POS systems, Microsoft Office, and retail or hospitality management software.A proactive, hands-on manager with a customer-first mindset and a passion for delivering outstanding service.Interested?
