About the Role
Permanent and temporary radiographer positions are currently available to join the imaging team at Sutherland Hospital Medical Imaging. The department offers a full range of imaging modalities, including general radiography, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology, angiography, CT, MRI and ultrasound. Successful applicants will participate in a 24 / 7 rotating roster and on‑call duties.

Work Environment
Sutherland Hospital is situated in the Sutherland Shire, close to beaches, cafés, transport and shopping centres. The department performs over 75,000 examinations per year and provides training opportunities into advanced modalities. A small, dedicated team works collaboratively to provide imaging services to the ED, inpatients and outpatients.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform medical imaging procedures and ensure accurate archiving of diagnostic images under the direction of radiologists and department managers.
- Ensure patient safety and provide high‑quality patient care.
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team on a 24 / 7 rotating roster.
- Work with independent initiative, pursue continuing professional development and maintain competency in all clinical tasks.

Hold a degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent.Hold a NSW EPA Radiation Licence to operate radiation apparatus and registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with AHPRA.Demonstrated ability and experience performing radiographic examinations across a wide range of modalities, including general, theatre and mobile units.Willingness to participate in a rotating 24 / 7 roster and on‑call duties.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience with health‑related computer applications.Ability to work both independently and with a team, organising workload to facilitate high patient throughput.Knowledge of WHS and radiation protection practices.Proven accuracy and attention to detail.Information for Applicants
