About Our Client :

Rio Tinto operates the worlds largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets. Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance.

About the Role :

WorkPac are currently seeking a Divisional Secretary based in Dampier to commence work as soon as possible. This position offers a 9 day fortnight for candidates local to the Karratha area. This position will be for 10 months in duration.

Key Responsibilities will include :

Administrative and secretarial services to the Maintenance Managers

Coordinating domestic travel requirements

Calendar management

Preparing presentations, agendas and taking actions where required

Raising purchase orders, vendor sole sources, service entry sheeting, and assisting with processing invoices for payment as required

Monitoring overdue financial commitments and budget forecasts

Work with other team members and look for opportunities to assist others while also maintaining a high standard of work when operating autonomously

Cooperate with internal and external suppliers, identify discrepancies and escalate concerns

Assist other department secretaries for leave coverage, and when capacities allow work load distribution

Communicate efficiently, and professionally with team members and customers

Seek to identify and recommend improvements to existing practices and processes

Skills & Experience Required :

Experience in a similar role or role with transferrable skills

Advanced Microsoft Office program skills including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

Experience using booking systems, procure to pay systems and other company asset management systems such as SAP and Track, Concur, Prospect, Cornerstone etc

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise, multi-task and have a flexible working approach.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including stakeholder engagement

High level attention to detail

A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

A current Australian C class drivers license
