Catholiccare Central Queensland are looking for a skilled and empathetic Family Dispute Resolution Advisor to join our supportive team.
In this rewarding role, you will provide guidance and support to separating or separated families—helping them reach child-focused, sustainable agreements in line with the Family Law Act.
Key tasks of this role include :
Provide Information, support, and referral to clients ensuring the wellbeing of children remains the central focus.Complete Intakes and Risk AssessmentsUndertake Child in Focus sessionsParticipate in Business Development and Networking activitiesFamily Dispute Resolution Advisors must ensure they provide services in accordance with the Family Law Act, Family Relationship Centre Operational Framework and the organisational Quality Management System policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
An associate diploma with relevant experience; OR relevant certificate with relevant experience, OR experience attained through previous appointments, services and / or study of an equivalent level of expertise; OR experience to undertake the range of activities required; andCurrent C or CA class Driver’s license (QLD)Core Competencies
Ability to work with diverse families and manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalismExcellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills.May utilise limited professional or specialised knowledge and have working knowledge of statutory requirements relevant to the workplaceAbility to apply computing concepts and maintain own schedule calendarOther Requirements
Review client needs to ensure appropriate and efficient service delivery and referralComplete appropriate client intake and risk assessment for access to services to meet client needsUndertake community engagement to promote CatholicCare Central Queensland programs and increase numbers of clients engaging with CatholicCare Central Queensland programsDevelop and maintain networks in the community with other community agencies and stakeholders in consultation with the line managerParticipate in regular team meetingsEnsure data entry and program reporting is completed as per funding requirements and CatholicCare proceduresMaintain client confidentialityThe successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.
This position requires the completion of an Australian Federal Police check, an NDIS disability worker screening check, and attainment of a Blue Card for working with children, prior to commencement.
