About the Role

As a Quality Assurance & Technical Compliance Officer, you’ll ensure our specialist products — from industrial PPE to wildlands firefighting garments — meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality.

This role combines technical expertise with stakeholder engagement, overseeing certification processes, audits, and risk mitigation while driving continuous improvement. You’ll liaise with global certification bodies, support product development, and educate teams on compliance requirements, making quality a competitive advantage.

If you’re passionate about precision and want to influence product integrity and customer trust, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance processes to ensure all products meet legislative, industry, and WWG standards.

  • Liaise with international and local certification bodies to obtain, validate, and maintain licenses and schedules for certified products.
  • Create and maintain testing matrices and technical documentation, ensuring trims and components meet certification requirements and are tracked in a library database.
  • Deliver technical guidance and training sessions for internal teams, suppliers, and factories to embed compliance and testing standards across the supply chain.
  • Partner with Fabric R&D, Tech, Merch & Sourcing Teams to provide expert advice on technical requirements and risk mitigation strategies during product development.
  • Assist in pre-production analysis, identifying risk and recommending strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Enforce quality protocols throughout production, oversee inspections, and implement corrective actions to maintain quality & regulatory standards.
  • Analyse customer returns and complaints, prepare formal quality assessment reports, and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records, including audits, and equipment calibration logs, to ensure ongoing adherence to ISO and AU/NZ standards.
