About the role

Challenger is seeking experienced, enthusiastic and results driven part time kitchen stewards to join our team.

In this fast-paced hands-on role, you will be encouraged to take pride in your work and be committed to working to a high level of safety, delivering exceptional hospitality services based on our award-winning standards and our client\'s needs.

Key Responsibilities

Be an integral part of the operations of busy commercial kitchens

Operate commercial dishwashers and other commercial kitchen equipment

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and benches ensuring all rubbish is removed and equipment is correctly stored

Prepare equipment required for functions (chafing dishes, plates etc)

Assist the chefs with general kitchen duties

Comply with all company polices, procedures, standards and safe work practices at all times.

About you

We are looking for candidates who have the following qualifications :

Be flexible and available to work across a rotating 7 day roster, including days, afternoons, evening and overnight shifts

Have proven experience in fast paced commercial kitchen environments

Have a good understanding of the safety elements associated with this job

Have a good understanding of cleaning chemicals and their correct and safe handling
