World View Indo-Pacific is a wholly owned subsidiary of World View Enterprises, a US stratospheric exploration company that has been operating in the stratosphere for over 12 years. We are not iterating on the past, we’re building what comes next. From a clean slate, we’re establishing a sovereign aerospace and intelligence capability that serves both government and commercial sectors, with no legacy limits and no direct rivals.

We exist to inspire, create, and explore new perspectives for a radically improved future. We reach new perspectives through navigable long‑duration and short‑duration stratospheric balloons that carry instruments and sensors into the stratosphere.

We help contribute to a radically improved future by capturing high‑quality imagery and data, coupled with bespoke analytics for imagery and data interpretation. The knowledge created by this data delivers insights with the goal of saving lives and averting disasters.

The Role of Business Development Manager (BDM)

The stratospheric ballooning industry is on the cusp of exponential growth, offering low‑cost, high‑altitude solutions for Earth observation, real‑time data collection, communications, research, and more. You'll be pioneering an entirely new frontier of technology exploring the earth from the stratosphere.

As the Business Development Manager, you’ll forge key partnerships, define market strategy, and guide how the Indo‑Pacific region leverages this transformative technology. With strong government relations expertise across the Asia region, you’ll develop and execute strategies to expand business opportunities and support our ambitious growth plan.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identifying new business opportunities within both government and commercial sectors, aligning with our growth strategies
  • Leveraging and maintaining your defence network across ministries, government agencies, and relevant commercial sectors
  • Leading government engagement efforts to influence policy, procurement strategies, and partnership opportunities
  • Navigating complex regulatory and compliance frameworks to ensure business dealings adhere to local and international law
  • Working closely with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet the needs of existing and potential customers, driving contract negotiations and proposal development
  • Representing World View Indo‑Pacific at industry events, trade shows, and government meetings to enhance our brand visibility
  • Articulating our value story, technology, and product positioning to both business and technical users
  • Monitoring geopolitical and industry trends to anticipate opportunities and risks for business growth
  • Traveling domestically and internationally as required to support business development opportunities

What You’ll Bring To The Team

You’ll be yourself and make your mark, comfortable with ambiguity, seeing challenges as opportunities and adopting a growth mindset to anticipate change, solve complex problems, be creative, and continuously seek improvements. You will have a strong ability and desire to understand sophisticated systems, investigate and tackle challenging problems, and thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.   • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in business development, sales, or government relations across multiple sectors covering both government and commercial
  • Demonstrated experience selling to defence and government agencies, with an established network in Asia
  • Strong understanding of defence procurement cycles, government contracting processes, and regulatory frameworks in the region
  • Excellent and demonstrated negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work across cultures and navigate complex political and business environments
  • What Else Do You Need To Know

    The role comes with the expectation of domestic and international travel to support business development opportunities.
