Community Solutions are seeking a 1st or 2nd year in trade Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice for a small family business based in Tully. Services include maintenance and repair general servicing, full major servicing, engine tuning and safety inspections & certification.
This Apprenticeship will provide the successful candidate with underpinning skills and knowledge to service and repair the mechanical parts of a motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission and suspension systems.
Kick start your career with this full time - 4-year apprenticeship and gain a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
Responsibilities
- Service air conditioning and HVAC systems
- Carry out soft soldering techniques
- Repair electrical systems
- Carry out oxy acetylene welding, thermal cutting and thermal heating procedures
- Service and maintain battery electric vehicles
- Test charge and replace batteries
- Communicate effectively in an automotive workplace
- Inspect service and repair auxiliary braking systems
- Do you service your own vehicle or enjoy working on home projects

Qualifications
