We are seeking a Contracts Administrator based in Melbourne or Sydney to support major renewable energy and infrastructure projects across Australia.

This role is part of a central commercial team going through growth and process improvement, offering the opportunity to shape commercial systems and support contract governance.

You will be responsible for contract administration, commercial risk management, and supporting project teams to ensure effective delivery across construction and service portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer contracts across construction and service portfolios, ensuring compliance with commercial and project requirements
  • Review and process subcontractor payment claims, variations, extensions of time, and contractual notices
  • Support commercial teams in managing risks, disputes, and project financial performance
  • Assist in transitioning from manual spreadsheets to structured contract management systems (such as Procore or ConnX)
  • Contribute to procurement consolidation and the development of commercial processes and governance frameworks
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to improve contract visibility, reporting, and commercial outcomes

Required Experience

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator within major projects (renewables, infrastructure, EPC, or construction).
  • Strong understanding of contract law, commercial principles, and subcontractor management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing variations, claims, and contractual negotiations.
  • Exposure to commercial process improvement or system implementation (e.g., transition from manual to digital systems) highly regarded.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, commercial acumen, and proactive problem‑solving abilities.
  • Qualifications (Preferred but not essential)

  • Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
