An exciting opportunity exists within ECU's Art, Culture and Collections team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive person to join us as the Registrar. The position of Registrar will work closely with the Collections Manager and other key stakeholders to manage the legal and physical risks associated with art and objects in the Collection, as well as temporary works on loan to and from ECU. The Registrar will ensure compliance with international and national standards in loan agreements and insurance policies, conduct annual reviews, and contribute to Disaster Preparedness and Response Plans and other institutional policies related to Collection storage and maintenance. They will assist in the development of stocktake, audit, and valuation processes and support the Curator in freight plans for incoming artworks, including the organisation of condition reports.
Managing the legal and physical risks associated with the Collection
Ensuring compliance with international and national standards in loan agreements and insurance policies
Conducting annual reviews of loan agreements and insurance policies
Contributing to Disaster Preparedness and Response Plans and other institutional policies
Assisting in the development of stocktake, audit, and valuation processes
Supporting the Curator in freight plans for incoming artworks, including condition reports

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, fixed term position attracts remuneration of $92,087 to $99,353 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
