Our team & opportunity : To provide intermediate level mobile engineering services, including direction, evaluation, configuration, implementation, testing, automation, and integration of new or existing technologies and tools. This engineering position will establish the Mobile Enablement team’s presence in Australia. The Mobile Enablement team is Vanguard’s enterprise mobile team, supporting our app development teams in the US, UK, Germany and Australia and driving best practices in mobile globally. The team supports initiatives such as mobile CI / CD pipeline, adoption of CREDaaS for mobile, push notifications, and promoting reuse and collaboration across teams. Vanguard’s vision is that technology enables disruption through client experience, investment products, and advice, with mobile apps as a key component.

What You Will Do

• Evaluate and introduce new mobile technologies through research, proof of concepts.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align platform requirements and architecture and provide feedback, improve ways of working.
• Coordinate with external vendors for integration, security reviews, platform validations and onboarding into Vanguard ecosystem.
• Lead technical assessment for vendor solutions and manage integration into mobile platform.
• Drive continuous improvements by identifying gaps in tooling, process and developer workflows and provide solutions.
• Document and educate teams on new tools, patterns and provide guidance.
• Collaborate with global teams to promote consistency and innovation across mobile platforms.
• Deliver intermediate-level mobile engineering services including evaluation, configuration, implementation, testing, and integration of new or existing technologies.
• Work effectively with a high degree of autonomy as part of a collaborative team, and seek assistance when needed.

What We Are Looking For

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred or relevant experience. 5+ years mobile development experience.
