Overview

Lead Software Engineer - Mobile role at Bupa Australia . This position focuses on leading mobile application design and development across Bupa’s digital products. You will champion software development practices, ensure adherence to organisational standards and coding quality metrics, and improve release and deployment processes including CI / CD tooling, rollback planning, and post-release analysis. You’ll collaborate with architects to align mobile strategy with the enterprise architecture and long-term vision, and manage a team of developers (4–10) providing technical leadership, performance reviews, mentoring, and career development support.

Responsibilities

• Lead mobile application design and development across Bupa’s digital products using native tech stacks.
• Ensure development teams adhere to best practices, standards, and coding quality metrics.
• Champion software development practices and improve release / deployment processes (CI / CD tooling, rollback planning, post-release analysis).
• Collaborate with architects to align mobile strategy with enterprise architecture and long-term vision.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of developers (4–10), including performance reviews, mentoring, and career development support.
