Corporate HSE Manager
About the Owner
TS Staffing are delighted to be partnering with Yilgarn Iron on the restart of the Yilgarn Iron Ore Hub, encompassing the Koolyanobbing, Windarling, and Parker Range assets. The operation was recently acquired and is being transitioned back into production, with mining and processing activities to be undertaken by contractors.
About the Role
We’re seeking a Corporate HSE Manager with proven experience working for a mine owner, not just contractors. You’ll understand the legislative and regulatory obligations that sit with the Principal Employer and be confident in setting up frameworks to ensure compliance across owner and contractor operations. This role requires someone who can build systems from the ground up — not just maintain existing ones. You’ll lead a team of six and play a pivotal role in shaping how Yilgarn manages health, safety, and environmental management performance from mobilisation through to steady-state production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement corporate management systems, ensuring compliance with all mine owner obligations under all statutory environmental and health and safety requirements.
- Lead, coach, and support a small team of Safety and Environmental Advisors.
- Build the interface between owner and contractor systems, ensuring alignment and effective governance.
- Coordinate internal audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions.
- Manage critical risk frameworks, investigations, and statutory reporting.
- Lead the development of environmental compliance systems and approval instrument requirements.
- Work closely with the executive and operational teams to embed a proactive safety and sustainability culture.
- Provide strategic input to leadership on HSE performance, risk, and improvement.
