Synopsis : The Department of the House of Representatives is seeking enthusiastic and motivated applications from those interested in directly supporting the work of the House of Representatives and members of Parliament at Parliament House in Canberra.

This is a 12-month non-ongoing role to backfill a period of leave within the Information Management Office. The Information and Content section, within the Information Management Office, supports and enables the work of the House of Representatives, its committees and the department by providing a range of information services and content to internal and external stakeholders.

The section develops and implements strategies to manage the department’s data, information and records that underpin the Department’s records management, business systems and websites. The section is also responsible for the in-house design and production of print, video and web resources and has a community outreach role in promoting the work of the House of Representatives and its committees to the public through social media and other channels.

About the role

The content and outreach team develops and implements strategies to inform, engage and promote the work of the House of Representatives and the department. This includes community engagement and education activities, and the development of digital content for members and other official stakeholders. The team is also responsible for publishing and graphic design activities, including oversight of the department’s digital publishing platforms.

The successful candidate will lead the team through a period of transition and change, maintaining service delivery while supporting staff development and knowledge transfer activities.
