Join a Leading Startup in PV Manufacturing | Brisbane-Based | Full-Time
We are an ambitious startup in the photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing industry, set to grow rapidly to a team of 300–500 employees. Committed to innovation, operational excellence, and smart manufacturing, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior IT Engineer or IT Manager to lead the design and implementation of our digital infrastructure and office automation (OA) systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of ICT and digital transformation projects within the photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing environment, aligning all initiatives with the company’s rapid scaling and clean energy mission.
Develop and execute IT infrastructure and digitalisation strategies to support smart factory operations, including production automation, real-time monitoring, and data-driven manufacturing.
Oversee the planning, design, and deployment of digital platforms such as ERP, MES, OA, WMS, and SRM tailored for high-throughput PV module production.
Collaborate with R&D, supply chain, and quality departments to gather business requirements and transform them into integrated system solutions that optimise manufacturing and operational performance.
Direct the implementation of intelligent data platforms (e.g., BI systems) for solar production analytics, financial reporting, and energy efficiency tracking.
Drive the digital architecture for newly built smart factories, including weak-current systems, IoT integration, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless automation and traceability across the PV production chain.
Manage IT governance and internal information security frameworks (ISO27001), ensuring robust protection of proprietary PV technologies, operational data, and intellectual property.
Monitor and coordinate progress of ICT projects, prepare project reports and dashboards for senior leadership, and ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
Supervise and mentor IT teams, enforce SOPs and SLAs, and support continuous improvement initiatives to accelerate PV innovation cycles and reduce time-to-market.
Keep abreast of emerging technologies such as AI-powered defect detection, digital twins, and predictive maintenance tools to improve solar module quality and operational sustainability.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT Manager roles within manufacturing or industrial settings.
Solid experience with OA systems and network infrastructure; working knowledge of ERP and MES systems.
Strong troubleshooting abilities, with proven project management and documentation skills.
Good understanding of IT governance and cybersecurity best practices.
Self-motivated, hands-on, and capable of operating in a fast-paced, startup environment.
