Aps5 / 6 Grants Manager

12-month Contract with the Possibility of Extension | Canberra Location | APS5 : $51.16 - $56.41 | APS6 : $58.39 - $65.88 per hour plus 11% superannuation

• OVERVIEW

Our Federal Government client is currently seeking experienced Grants Officers to join their team at the APS5 and APS6 level. These positions will undertake grants and program management responsibiltiies for rural programs and associated expansions.

• YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Overseeing the establishment, implementation, and administration of recurrent and capital works grants.
• Managing grants variations.
• Seeking legal advice on grants matters.
• Stakeholder relationship management, both external and internal.
• Working with Department of Social Services to manage grants matters.
• Assess progress reports and work with the team to identify potential program management, implementation and compliance issues;
• Contribute to section corporate management, planning and reporting processes; and
• Other duties in the administration of programs managed by the section, as required.
• EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience in grants is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working within fast paced projects / programs is advantageous.
• Able to work to tight timeframes.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Providing sound advice to support decision making.
• Working well as part of a team.
• Committed to quality and achieving outcomes.
