Patient Transport Driver

Full time – 7 day roster

The Patient Transport Driver will work as a part of the Northern Beaches Discharge team providing safe and timely transport of patients and contribute to the delivery of quality care and excellence in customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the passenger journey which includes preparing the vehicle for service, managing the passenger manifest using the NBH electronic driver recording system, safely transporting passengers to and from the hospital and returning the vehicle to hospital.
• Providing assistance to passengers including aiding patients to get on and off vehicles, loading wheelchairs and walking frames.
• Maintaining safety and compliance including completing vehicle inspection records and checklists, following safety procedures, and reporting hazards.
• Maintain a clean vehicle, ensuring the vehicle is sanitized between patient journeys and washed and vacuumed once per week in the Hospital undercroft on the basement level. Restocking of consumables on a regular basis.

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant experience against the current Healthscope NSW - Health Professionals & Support Services Agreement - 2023, salary range between $29.07-$29.64 per hour plus shift allowance.
