Job descriptionMaintain a full and up-to-date understanding of the Quality Manual (EL-G-001). Follow all test methods, work instructions, procedures, and policies as outlined in the Quality Manual. Conduct routine and periodic equipment checks in accordance with the Calibration Program. Manage and document Quality Control checks for all test methods. Ensure all tests performed are properly validated and documented. Maintain laboratory documentation, including updates, storage, protection, and version control of test procedures and manuals. Participate in periodic reviews and updates of the Quality Manual and associated procedures. Ensure equipment is calibrated prior to use and safe to operate. Ensure laboratory books are completed correctly and up to date at all times. Report any deviations from approved procedures or test methods to the Lab Manager immediately. Maintain good housekeeping practices to ensure a clean, organised, and safe work environment. Manage the efficient workflow and prioritisation of samples through the lab. Carry out assigned testing in a safe, accurate, and professional manner. Participate in the induction of new staff, when delegated by the Lab Manager. Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory operations. Carry out all tasks associated to Enzyme Testing. Carry out all tasks associated to Performance Testing. Carry out stock level check / inventory periodically and report to Lab Manager and / or Management to ensure continued work flow / performance. Carry out all tasks as requested by Lab Manager and / or Management relating to business practices. Carry out daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly office / lab procedure instruction / checklist. Carry out all tasks associated to KPI (Key Performance Indicators) standards. Participate in lab / office meetings on a regular basis (within work hours). Participate in both on-site and off-site training when required. Participate in both on-site and off-site visits when required. Assist in various tasks including organising external trades for repair of equipment when required. Report duties performed to Lab Manager on a daily basis.
