We are seeking an experienced financial professional for a 12-month contract as a Senior Financial Analyst within the Group Finance team of a nationally recognised natural resources company, based in the heart of Adelaide's CBD.

Key Responsibilities :
As a Senior Financial Analyst, your key accountabilities will include :
- Acting as a finance business partner by providing decision‑making support to functional leads, their teams, and other stakeholders.
- Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on expenditure, including departmental cost pools (direct costs and allocations).
- Preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for functional teams.
- Contributing to half‑year and year‑end reporting requirements, including preparing subsidiary financial statements and assisting with audit queries.
- Performing month‑end accounting tasks such as journal preparation (as required), account reconciliations, reviewing results, and completing integrity checks prior to ledger close.
- Providing ad‑hoc financial analysis to support decision‑making processes.
- Supporting projects aimed at improving decision‑making processes and systems.
- Ensuring adherence to company standards and processes (e.g., DOA, SMS, Code of Conduct).
Skills & Experience Required :
Proven experience in finance business partnering.Strong background in management accounting, financial reporting, or audit.Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel and PowerPoint).Experience working within oil and gas or mining industries.Familiarity with SAP and Jedox systems.A tertiary degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.CA, CPA certification or equivalent professional qualification.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
