Salary : $262,376 to $354,479 per annum full time equivalent depending on experience
Hours Per Week : 16hrs per week
Remuneration as a Senior Specialist will be considered and is subject to CE Approval.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading and managing the General Surgery Department, providing contemporary comprehensive best practice specialist services for optimal patient outcomes. This includes leadership that optimises multidisciplinary and inter‑departmental cooperation, to efficiently and effectively allocate and manage resources for best patient care. Providing and supporting training to clinicians across relevant disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice. This includes a lead role in accreditation of training programmes, and in supporting the wellbeing of doctors in training.

Where you’ll be working
Lismore Base Hospital is a regional referral Level 5 base hospital providing a wide range of health services to residents in Northern NSW. These services include a state‑of‑the‑art Operating Theatre Suite, Intensive Care / Cardiac Care Unit, General Medical and Surgical Wards, Women’s Care Unit, Paediatric Unit, Renal Unit, Emergency Department, Medical Imaging department and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. Mental Health Inpatient Units, the North Coast Cancer Institute, Pathology, Pain Management Clinic, and Specialist Outpatient Clinics are also located on the Lismore Base Hospital campus.
Lismore and other NNSWLHD hospitals and facilities are located in the Rainbow Region, an area known for waterfalls, fertile farming land, artistic villages and relaxed seaside communities.
