Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Contract and Risk Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously. This role requires a proactive approach to contract administration, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The work model for the role is Hybrid, contributing to the Electrification in Australia and New Zealand.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, respond to contract terms and conditions, tenders and RFQs; redlining and negotiating contracts with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors under the supervision of Senior Legal Counsel.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring compliance with Legal & Integrity and ABB policy requirements.
- Manage the lifecycle of contracts from initiation to closure, including amendments, renewals, and terminations.
- Work closely with internal sales and account teams, including legal, finance, and project management, to ensure alignment and effective contract execution.
- Maintain accurate contract records and documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in contract management practices and implement best practices.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Law, Engineering, or a related field.Experience : Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract negotiations and management, preferably in the engineering or technology industry.Strong understanding of contract law and commercial terms.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously.Proficiency in contract red-lining, Microsoft Office Suite and Xcel and AI tools.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Certifications : Professional certification in contract management (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) is a plus.About ABB
