Under the guidance of a supportive and experienced Team Manager, we are seeking a new KINNECTer to come into our South Melbourne Office to be trained as a New Employer Services Consultant. Once trained, you will be responsible for providing personalised support and career counsel to clients, empowering them to find new employment opportunities and successfully reintegrate into the workforce.
In this role you will learn the skills to take on the following responsibilities :
Career Counselling : Provide personalised career counselling sessions to workers, assessing their skills, interests, and aspirations to identify suitable employment opportunities.
Job Placement : Assist workers in exploring job options, searching for suitable vacancies, and preparing job applications, resumes, and cover letters tailored to their abilities and experience.
Skill Development : Assisting workers in enhancing their employability through the refinement of resume writing, interview techniques, and job search strategies.
Employer Liaison : Establish and maintain positive relationships with employers to promote job opportunities for workers, advocating for inclusive hiring practices and facilitating job placements.
Case Management : Manage a caseload of workers, maintaining accurate records of their progress, employment outcomes, and communication with stakeholders.
Support Services : Coordinate and / or complete additional support services as needed, such as retraining, vocational assessments and workplace accommodations to facilitate successful employment transitions.
Collaboration : Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, rehabilitation specialists, and insurance providers, to ensure a holistic approach to the workers recovery and return to work.
Continuous Improvement : Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes related to workplace rehabilitation and incorporate new knowledge and techniques into service delivery.
