We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Cecil Hotel buzzing and loved by the locals.

In the heart of Southport on the corner of Nerang and Scarborough Street the Cecil Hotel has been a local favourite for years. We have something for every occasion from families dining together in our bistro and catching up over delicious meals featuring fresh ingredients from local producers to mates catching up over a beer in our Sports Bar or enjoying the game on the big screen. Choose from our huge range of ice cold beer and cider on tap or have a look at our wine and spirit range.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements

This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
