AVK Australia is part of the Global AVK Group and responsible for the group’s activities in the Oceania region (Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea & Pacific Islands). AVK Australia is based in Wingfield, South Australia, with operations across Australia as well as New Zealand.
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and maintain our Company Management System (CMS), ensuring continued compliance with relevant quality, safety and environmental standards.
The Quality Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring it remains effective, cost-efficient and aligned with ISO 9001, AS 4801 and ISO 14001 requirements.
This is a key role within the business, providing quality leadership and support across departments and working closely with internal teams, customers, auditors and our nominated certification body.
Interstate travel will be required from time to time to support company operations, audits, and quality-related activities across the business.
Develop, implement and maintain a formal, cost-effective Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.
Manage and maintain the Company Management System Manual, ensuring it remains current and compliant.
Drive continuous improvement across processes and products, with a focus on quality, efficiency and compliance.
Manage and maintain the company’s internal audit program, including identifying areas for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Act as the primary liaison with the company’s nominated Certification Body (CAB) on matters relating to the Company Management System.
Ensure all approved products continue to meet designated specifications and applicable standards.
Ensure the company’s quality policies, procedures and SSOPs are regularly reviewed, maintained and updated.
Manage the company’s Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process, ensuring non-conformances are identified, documented, investigated and closed out effectively.
Manage the customer complaint process, ensuring complaints are recorded, investigated and resolved in a timely and professional manner.
To be successful in this role, you will be a quality-focused professional with strong knowledge of management systems, auditing, compliance and continuous improvement.
You will demonstrate:
Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Knowledge of ISO 14001 and AS 4801 requirements.
Experience managing and maintaining formal management systems and documentation.
Experience with internal and external audits, corrective actions and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
The ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments while maintaining a strong focus on compliance and quality outcomes.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
