The Hydro Excavation Truck Operator ensures reliable, efficient and customer-focused hydro services to support our sewer and water network performance, maintenance, renewals and projects.

Key Responsibilities \n

    \n
  • Hydro excavation, utility exposure and non-destructive digging services.
  • \n
  • Asset maintenance on sewer and water networks, including cleaning, flushing and debris removal.
  • \n
  • Reviewing inspection findings to identify asset risks.
  • \n
  • Supporting preventative maintenance programs and network optimisation initiatives.
  • \n
  • Responding to operational incidents, emergency events and maintenance activities.
  • \n
  • Inspections, maintenance, and fault reporting for vehicles, plant and specialised equipment.
  • \n
  • Ensuring safety and compliance, using risk assessments and high-risk work controls.
  • \n
  • Completing work orders, inspection reports and maintenance records.
  • \n
  • Liaising with customers, contractors and colleagues, and providing operational support.
  • \n

The Hydro Services team will provide scheduled maintenance and emergency response across the North East Water operating region. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to get out and about in the beautiful north east region.

\n

This role is a full-time ongoing opportunity, including a monthly RDO and flexible work options.

Key Selection Criteria \n

    \n
  • Experience using specialised hydro excavation, vacuum recover, jetting and/or CCTV inspection equipment in a utilities, water, wastewater and/or civil infrastructure environment.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure maintenance.
  • \n
  • Proven ability to assess risks, apply safety procedures and operate effectively in high-risk environments.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and coordinate maintenance with minimal supervision.
  • \n
  • High level of communication, teamwork and record management skills including the ability to maintain asset and maintenance information in systems.
  • \n
  • Victorian White Card and Heavy Rigid licence or a willingness to obtain is essential.
  • \n

Position Information \n

Based at our Regional Headquarters, Wodonga.

\n

Full-time, ongoing including a monthly RDO and flexible work options (such as a 9-day fortnight).

\n

General hours of work are between 7:30am and 4pm (Monday to Friday).

\n

Successful applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment checks including a police check and pre-employment medical and functional testing.

\n

Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.

Salary Information \n

$73,189 to $84,593 plus 12% superannuation depending on skills and experience.

\n

This role receives our industry and wastewater allowances which add over $3,000 to your remuneration per year !

\n

Future opportunity to participate in an on-call roster including attractive overtime rates and allowances.
