About the Job

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Roller Operator tojoin the Shire of Esperance Rural Construction team. This positionassists with the construction and maintenance of Shire roads; itinvolves working in remote locations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertake plant operator duties, predominantly roller butalso including truck, loader, backhoe, dozer, grader asrequired, and in accordance with the licences held.
  • Labouring tasks including traffic management, installationof signs, guide posts, etc.
  • Minor maintenance on machinery.

This is a full time position working 99 hours per fortnight.

About you

In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you musthave:

  • 'HR' class driver's license.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in operation and maintenance of plant including roller, loader, backhoe, truck etc.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in road construction and maintenance or earthmoving environment.
  • Ability to perform routine mechanical maintenance on vehicular plant.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and with limited supervision.
  • Physical fitness to undertake the inherent requirements of the job.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to work in remote locations.

Benefits

Salary:$109,938.59 per annum (including overtime), plus superannuation.

Permanent staff are entitled to:

  • 9 day fortnight (Every second Friday off)
  • 5 weeks annual leave per year
  • Minimum of 12% superannuation employer contribution
  • Superannuation co-contribution offered to a maximum of5%
