Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Workshop Technician to join our team in Welshpool, WA, working primarily across our used equipment fleet.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on, workshop-based position focused on refurbishing Adaptalift’s existing used equipment and preparing it for resale.

You will inspect, service and repair used equipment to ensure each machine is mechanically sound, safe, reliable and presented to a high standard before it is made available for sale.

No two machines will be exactly the same, making this an ideal role for a mechanically minded Technician who enjoys varied work and takes pride in restoring equipment to a high standard.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Inspecting and assessing used equipment
  • Refurbishing existing equipment in preparation for resale
  • Completing servicing, repairs and general mechanical work
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
  • Identifying required repairs, replacement parts and maintenance
  • Conducting safety and operational checks
  • Cleaning and presenting equipment to a high standard
  • Accurately recording completed work and equipment condition
  • Working closely with the workshop, parts and sales teams
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop

What You’ll Bring:

  • A relevant Mechanical Trade Certificate
  • Experience servicing or repairing forklifts, used equipment, mobile plant, heavy vehicles, automotive equipment or similar machinery
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
  • Hydraulic and electrical diagnostic experience will be highly regarded
  • Good organisation and attention to detail
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening
  • Full Australian working rights
