The Role:
Lead Exceptional Events at Amora Hotel Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the successful planning and delivery of conferences, meetings, events, and functions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service from enquiry through to event completion.
- Work closely with the Conference & Events, Sales, and Banquets teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Drive revenue through effective upselling and maximizing event opportunities.
- Oversee event administration, including accurate event orders, reporting, and forecasting.
- Monitor event performance, guest feedback, and service standards to drive continuous improvement.
- Support and develop the Conference & Events team to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Food Safety, RSA, and Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
- Attend key events and functions to ensure exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
Skills and Experience
- 3-5 years' experience in Banquets, Catering & Events, or Hotel Operations, with proven leadership success.
- A passionate people leader who can motivate, coach, and inspire high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue, maximizing opportunities, and controlling costs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients, guests, and stakeholders.
- Highly organized, solutions-focused, and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-driven with strong decision-making skills and a commitment to service excellence.
- Current RSA certification and full Australian working rights.
- Professional presentation, a passion for hospitality, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Proven leadership experience in Banquets, Catering & Events, or Luxury Hotel Operations.
- A polished leader with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong commercial acumen and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in a5-star or luxury hospitality environment is highly regarded.
- Current RSA certification and full Australian working rights.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
