A large, established food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join its engineering and maintenance team in Wodonga.
This is a substantial manufacturing operation employing approximately 400 people, with significant recent investment in plant and automation, including approximately $40 million invested in a new automated warehouse.

The Role
Electrical fault finding and breakdown response
Planned and preventative maintenance
PLC fault finding and diagnostics
Maintenance of automated production equipment
Work across motors, sensors, controls, VSDs and associated electrical systems
Identify faults and minimise production downtime
Support plant reliability and continuous improvement
Work closely with production and the broader maintenance team
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Electrician
Strong industrial maintenance background
Demonstrated electrical fault‑finding capability
PLC fault‑finding experience
Experience working with automated production equipment
Experience with motors, sensors, controls and VSDs
Preventative and breakdown maintenance experience
Food, meat, beverage or other high‑volume manufacturing experience highly regarded
You do not need to be a PLC programmer, but you should be comfortable fault finding PLC‑controlled equipment and diagnosing electrical and controls‑related issues.
Roster
The maintenance team operates across a rotating shift structure, including:
4:00am – 12:00pm
6:00am – 2:00pm
Pay & Benefits
Approximately $50–$55 per hour + super, depending on experience
Initial probationary rate applies
