Transport Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to join our clients team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, has a strong commitment to safety, and enjoys working collaboratively with both internal stakeholders and external transport providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Load restraint activities (full on-the-job training provided)
• Load building activities (full on-the-job training provided)
• Gate checks and compliance verification (full on-the-job training provided)
• Scanning and management of delivery documentation
• Administrative support and receptionist duties
• Sorting and preparation of load packs
• Archiving and document management
• Supporting transport operations and coordinating with subcontractor drivers
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with operational procedures

About You

• A strong commitment to workplace safety
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• A process-driven mindset with the ability to follow procedures consistently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams and external subcontractors
• A proactive approach to identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
• Competent computer and administrative skills
• Previous experience in the transport, logistics, warehousing, or supply chain industry will be highly regarded

Working Hours

Standard Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 10:00am – 6:00pm

Training Period:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00am – 5:00pm

The successful candidate should be flexible and reliable during the training and onboarding period.
