About The Opportunity
There is an exciting opportunity in Primary and Community Health for a Dietitian to join the Paediatric Weight Management Service. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering evidence-based nutritional care to children, young people, and their families. You will work within a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team (MDT) including Paediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, a Social Worker, Exercise Physiologist, Administrative Officer, and fellow Dietitians. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the MDT to conduct individual assessments and develop tailored nutrition care plans to support families to make sustainable lifestyle changes.
What You'll Be Doing
This position is responsible for providing patient‑centred and high‑quality nutrition services to patients in SWSLHD Growing Healthy Kids (GHK) Childhood Overweight and Obesity Management Service, including providing nutritional care to patients as per caseload; providing and participating in education and evaluation; supervising students as appropriate; and participating in ongoing professional development. Growing Healthy Kids contributes to the NSW Premier's priority of a 5% reduction in child overweight and obesity by 2025.
