Clinical Nurse Educator Rehabilitation
About The Role
Reporting to the Training & Development Manager, the successful applicant will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to apply advanced nursing practices and provide education to all members of the team. This position is permanent part-time and will be responsible for making a valuable contribution to the hospital quality improvement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, development and co-ordination of the delivery of education courses / programs within the hospital including mandatory training, IPC training, and manual handling
- Work in partnership with the Staff Development Manager in the coordination, development and delivery of the hospital wide education program
- Contribute to the development and updating of policies and procedures
- Demonstrate and maintain high clinical practice standards as well as knowledge of current practice
- Ensure that all programs and products are consistent with the strategic direction of both the hospital and Ramsay, and congruent with current industry legislation, regulations and governing body recommendations
- Involvement in the evaluation of the education programs
- Ensure that a learner-centred professional approach is maintained at all times when coordinating and delivering programs
- Offer professional support for preceptors supporting learners / novices
- Assist new members of staff orientate and complete mandatory competencies
- Deliver and implement new directives and education programs to ward staff
About You
Relevant registration with AHPRA as Registered NurseRelevant clinical experienceExperience in delivering informal / formal education programsUnderstanding of methods of assisting and facilitating adult learningUnderstanding of accreditation process in relation to education portfolioProven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as requiredExtensive knowledge in Rehabilitation NursingRemuneration
A base hourly rate of $58.82 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
