Health Content Writer (Parental Leave Cover)
4 days / week | Until July 2026 | Diabetes Australia
Are you a seasoned health communicator who knows how to turn clinical guidelines into clear, compassionate content that connects? If you’ve spent time crafting health education materials that truly speak to people, especially those who’ve been underserved or overwhelmed, this role could be your next meaningful move.
At Diabetes Australia, we’re here to support the 1.5 million Australians living with diabetes. Through the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS), we deliver trusted, evidence‑based resources that help people understand their condition, take control, and feel empowered. We need your help to keep that going while one of our team members takes parental leave.
What you’ll be doing :
- Writing and editing content for fact sheets, eLearning modules, videos, presentations, and web pages
- Ensuring everything is accurate, accessible, and aligned with clinical guidelines and health literacy principles
- Adapting tone and messaging for diverse audiences—including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, CALD groups, and health professionals
- Collaborating with designers, educators, and subject matter experts to ensure content is culturally appropriate and visually cohesive
- Supporting project coordination, version control, and quality assurance processes
