Welcome to Nous’ Human Centred Design Virtual Experience.

At Nous we use Human-centred design to create or improve existing services, experiences and products. Human-centred design (HCD) is a creative approach to problem-solving that starts with the needs of people. Unlike a typical consulting approach which tends to be ‘top-down’, HCD is ‘bottom-up’.

Why should you do this?

This Virtual Experience Program is self-paced and should take only 2 to 4 hours to complete.

This Virtual Experience Program is free for all students.

When you complete the Virtual Experience Program, you’ll earn a digital badge and certificate you can share on Linkedin and include on your resume.

Throughout the program, you’ll learn and develop deep insights into what it is actually like to work as a Human Centred Designer at Nous. Apply your knowledge to a real-world problem and gain practical experience and knowledge to draw upon in interviews.

What skills will I gain?

• Summarising key themes from interviews
• Creating an Affinity Map and designing workshop deliverables

What you will do?

Synthesize and group ideas from employee interviews into themes to create an affinity map for the client.

Create a visual summary document that can be put up on the wall at a design workshop to showcase the key themes.
