POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a full-time Gantry Crane Operator to be based on-site at our Hickory Building Systems (HBS) facility in Laverton North. The Gantry Crane Operator will effectively operate an overhead gantry crane to facilitate the lifting, movement, positioning, and adjustment of concrete precast elements, kibbles, and diverse loads within the factory premises.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate Gantry cranes proficiently to facilitate the lifting and relocation of heavy items within manufacturing facilities.
• Maintain a keen understanding of the safe operational capacities of the crane, ensuring that loads adhere to prescribed weight limits.
• Conduct daily inspections of cranes to identify and rectify any potential safety hazards promptly.
• Safely lift, load, and store precast panels in designated areas, adhering to established safety protocols.
• Execute the safe lifting and precise placement of concrete utilizing appropriate equipment like kibbles.
• Adhere strictly to instructions provided, ensuring efficient and safe completion of assigned tasks.
