• About the Role
• Based at our Clarendon Clinic, which is centrally located and close to multiple public transport routes, this is a great opportunity to increase your skills in community mental health. You will provide a high standard of clinical assessment, treatment and secondary consultation to clients and staff of the St. Vincent’s integrated adult MHS and their carers, demonstrating excellence in discipline specific and recovery-focused case management skills.This is a community based role in an innovative environment, working with clients who may be homeless or at risk of homelessness who suffer with a serious mental illness and associated high level of disability.You will join a dynamic Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service operating under a recovery-oriented model of care, utilising the Strengths Model of Case Management.
• Work within the Strengths Model of recovery orientated practice
• Provide discipline specific interventions to consumers who are currently registered with the Clarendon Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service
• Assist with and undertake the assessment, provision of treatment and delivery of targeted interventions to consumers with complex mental health related needs and their family / carers in line with SVMH policies and strategic directionClassifications for this position will range from
• OT / SW Grade 3 YB24 - YB27 or YC46 - YC49 ($97,650.80 - $111,566 per annum)
• Your Contribution
• A minimum of at 5 years post qualification clinical experience within Mental Health.
• Developed knowledge in working with substance use and addiction
• Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (all disciplines except Social Work).
• Relevant postgraduate qualification in mental health.
• Current Victorian driver’s license
• Current National Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

• St. Vincent’s Mental Health (SVMH) includes an adult area mental health service for the inner city areas of Yarra and Boroondara.The Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service provides ongoing specialist treatment and support to meet the identified needs of clients who suffer with a serious mental illness and are homeless, or at risk of homelessness in the Cities of Yarra and Boroondara. The multidisciplinary team provides a range of clinical and therapeutic interventions using the recovery-focused Strengths Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice.
