Operations Manager

GD Recruitment is currently seeking an Operation's Manager for a well-established electrical company working with Tier 1 clients and government contracts.About the Role : Reporting directly to the General Manager / Director, the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of projects, workforce management, job scheduling, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organisational skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to lead a dynamic team.Key Responsibilities : Manage day-to-day operations of electrical service projects.Schedule and coordinate staff, materials, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.Lead, mentor, and supervise electricians and support staff.Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.Monitor WHS compliance and ensure all work adheres to Australian electrical and safety standards.Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.Manage budgets, quotes, invoicing, and job costing in conjunction with admin / accounts.Maintain accurate project and compliance documentation.Skills and Experience : Proven experience in an Operations, Project, or Service Manager role within the electrical or construction industry in Australia.Trade background (Licensed Electrician or similar) preferred but not essential.Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, WHS legislation, and electrical regulations.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in job management software (e.g., SimPRO, AroFlo, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.Current Australian driver's licence.What is on offer : Attractive salary package + superannuationFully maintained company vehicle or vehicle allowanceSupportive leadership team and a positive company cultureOngoing career development opportunitiesStability and variety in a well-regarded companyReady to take the next step in your career?Click "Apply for this job" and attach your resume and cover letter.
