About the role
Neighbourhood Care is looking for a compassionate and dedicated female Support Worker to join our Gold Coast team. This is a permanent, part-time role. It involves providing personalised care and support to older adults and people living with disabilities and working as a member in a self-managing team, where you will organise what's needed to deliver high quality care to your clients. Our clients are located in Robina and Tallebudgera Valley.
What you'll be doing Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping and accompanying them to appointments, social events, or running errands as needed
Providing emotional support and engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote their wellbeing
Collaborating with the Gold Coast team to develop and implement individualised care plans, maintain rosters, organise team meetings & other tasks needed to ensure the highest standard of care
Adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
What we're looking for Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or a similar care-based role and a genuine passion for supporting highly vulnerable individuals and enhancing their quality of life
Someone willing to learn how to work with others in a team to deliver quality care
Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build and maintain friendly, professional relationships with others
Reliable - shows up, doesn't drop shifts last minute & is honest about their availability
Resilient - can deal with setbacks, raise & resolve conflict, finds solutions to problems
Uses initiative, shares their knowledge but willing to learn as doesn't know everything
A valid driver's licence and your own comprehensively insured car to use for client transport
Can competently use technology in your daily work
Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
Working with Children Check, NDIS Screening, current First Aid & CPR, no work restrictions.
