E&I Technician

We are recruiting for an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join a leading renewable energy company based in Townsville, QLD . This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent, full-time role with a growing company operating across Australia’s solar and hydrogen sectors. You'll be part of a supportive team helping to drive the future of clean energy.

Job Details :

• 50-$55 / hr+ OT - Monday to Friday
• Work across cutting-edge solar and hydrogen energy sites
• Site-based role in Townsville – long-term opportunity with training provided
• Stable and growing company with ongoing contracts in renewables
• Night shift and on-call availability may be required

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform electrical and instrumentation installation, inspection, maintenance, and testing
• Troubleshoot faults and ensure high system reliability with minimal downtime
• Respond to alarms, conduct breakdown repairs, and support improvement projects
• Collaborate with engineers, safety, and operations teams
• Maintain documentation and compliance with safety standards
• Support commissioning and upgrades across renewable energy assets

Requirements :

• QLD Electrical Fitter / Mechanic Licence
• Cert III in Instrumentation and Control
• Current QLD Driver’s Licence
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Able to read electrical drawings and work independently
• Proficient in using maintenance systems (e.g., work orders, inventory)
• Safety-conscious with a proactive, team-oriented attitude
• Strong interest in renewables and sustainability

Bonus Skills (Highly Regarded) :

EWP / forklift / telehandler tickets | HV operator training | PLCs & flow meters | Hazardous area / hydrogen site experience
