Responsibilities
- Taking inbound enquiries over the phone and through IMB’s online channels (e.g., webchat, in-app messaging and social media) and resolving customer requests and complaints effectively.
- Identifying and converting new product and service opportunities that meet customers’ needs.
- Using existing call queues and referral sources to make outbound calls to existing customers regarding insurance products.
- Enhancing relationships with customers through informative and helpful conversations that resolve their enquiries.
- Championing the IMB suite of self-service facilities and digital assets.
- Working within procedural, policy and industry guidelines and regulations.
- Contributing to project work as needed.
- Collaborating with teams across IMB to achieve KPI’s, goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Experience across general insurance or banking products is advantageous but not essential.Experience in sales and service, preferably in retail, banking or hospitality industries.Effective and confident communication skills to liaise with customers and help them achieve positive outcomes.Data entry skills and attention to detail to ensure transactions are accurately recorded.Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a calm and structured manner.Empathy and patience when dealing with customers and resolving issues.Demonstrated tenacity to stay on course and achieve results.Proficiency with computers and digital platforms (e.g., Internet banking, mobile apps, digital cards).Benefits

Role : Part-time, 22.5 hours per week. Hours by roster, located at IMB Head Office, Wollongong. The office operates Monday–Friday 8 : 00am–8 : 00pm, with optional Saturday 9 : 00am–4 : 00pm. Schedule negotiated with successful candidate.
