About the Role

This dynamic and visible leader will guide and coordinate the delivery of safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care within a multidisciplinary environment. The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for the operational, clinical and professional management of staff and resources, fostering collaboration, accountability and excellence across the unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and coordinate nursing care in the Urgent Care Centre
• Manage staff and resources to deliver safe, efficient and patient‑centred care
• Foster effective multidisciplinary partnerships and leadership across the Mernda Community Hospital site
• Ensure patient flow, rosters and service delivery align with best practice and operational efficiency
• Promote a culture of enquiry, evidence‑based practice, and continuous improvement in patient care
