About Your Opportunity

Reporting to our Senior Water Quality Scientist, you will collect and report observational data related to water quality management, environmental monitoring, and process improvement for assets owned or operated by Seqwater.

This is a field-based role involving travel to various locations, outdoor work, and contributing to the SEQ community.

This role is responsible for :

• Undertaking scientific sampling according to procedures, instructions, and guidelines, ensuring sample integrity and result accuracy.
• Performing scientific field and laboratory analysis with high accuracy and repeatability, following established procedures and guidelines.
• Applying scientific knowledge from tertiary studies and / or work experience to observe and record environmental and water quality data.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of the Scientific Services team through the development and application of advanced scientific techniques.

Appointment is subject to a national police check and possibly other medical or character requirements. Criminal records are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Hours and Locations

The position is based at Ewen Maddock Dam, working on a fortnightly rotating roster, 9.5 hours per day, totaling 38 hours per week, with some on-call duties (shift allowances apply).

This full-time, permanent position offers a starting salary of $87,431 per annum plus 12.75% superannuation.
